Preston indoor 6-a-side tournament 2003

Building on the success of the previous year, a more extended programme resulted in the club entering two teams in the under 11s, two teams in the under 13s and one team in the under 15s.

All the teams performed well, but in particular the under 11s team, who finished runners-up and the under 15s team, who put up a good performance against Fulwood & Broughton in the final, narrowly missing out on a chance to represent Preston in the Lancashire finals.

The success of the teams does not show the fact that many of the players did not play for recognized clubs and for some it was the first competitive cricket they were playing in.

Summer Coaching 2003

Following on from the indoor success, coaching sessions were organized at Moor park cricket pitches, where over twenty-five young people took part over the summer.

The sessions were finished with all participants taking the Kwik Cricket skills awards and all participants gained either a bronze or silver award.
