Putting the opposition into bat, the team restricted them to 81 runs in their 16 overs and Red Rose got off to a poor start losing two quick wickets, before a steady partnership got them to 35 runs and then the team lost two quick wickets and the match was in the balance. A rear guard action saw the team reach 82-5 and clinch second position.
