Good Governance

The Club attempts to adopt a professional attitude in all that it does. To work towards this, the Club has developed a number of policies and procedures. The following is an example of this:

Policies the club has:

  • Safeguarding and Protecting Vulnerable Adults
  • Equality/Diversity
  • Code of conduct for Parents, players, coaches and volunteers

Procedures the club encourages:

  • DBS checks on all Coaches/volunteers
  • All Coaches/Volunteers are insured
  • Carrying out health and Safety checks on facilities/provision
  • Observing good practice on data protection/storage and photography/filming

In order to demonstrate the Club’s commitment, the club is has achived a number of good practice standards:

  • Make Space Status Club (Achieved in 2005)
  • British Sports Trust – JSLA/CSLA (Achieved Delivery centre status in 2006)
  • FA Charter Club – (Achieved February 2007)
  • ECB Club Mark (Achieved March 2007)
  • PQASSO Standard (Achieved Level One 2008)
  • ECB Clubmark (Re-Accreditation 2010 & 2013)
  • Streetgames ‘Streetmark’ (Achieved in 2014)
  • National Centre for Diversity ‘Investors in Diversity’ Award (2014, 2016, 2019)
