With Support from the Football Foundation, the club began its football coaching at West View leisure centre. Linking up with the PNE ‘football in the community’ scheme, who provided the coaches and coaches from the club, a series of coaching sessions were organized.
The sessions attracted over fifty participants aged eight to fifteen.
The club entered the first 9-a-side under 11s league, organized by Preston City council. The matches were all to be staged at Myerscough College.
The Club assembled the team one week before the first match and many had never played together. Despite this the Club has performed remarkably well against more established teams.
